Lee DeWyze & Jonna Walsh: Engaged! (A NCWITB Congratulations)

Congratulations to the newly engaged American Idol Season 9 Winner Lee DeWyze and his girlfriend actress/model Jonna Walsh. The two met last year while shooting his video for the song Sweet Serendipity, and are planning a Fall 2012 wedding.

I wish it was me, but I am happy for her. And I am very happy for Lee. I am a big fan of his, and he hasn't seemed to be able to catch a break. Today he is trending on Yahoo, and while it's obviously just because of his celebrity-engagement, hopefully this will lead more people to check out his music... for example the song below, his new single Beautiful Like You.

A fan of Lee or Jonna's? Comment with your congrats and/or opinions on this whirlwind engagement!

Alana Olson is incredible, and I know this from personally being photographed by her. Just a note, these two amazing ladies businesses are not associated. However, getting styled by Katie Marie before being photographed by Alana Olson would be a fantastic idea....

NCWITB: R.I.P. Amy Jade Winehouse (1983-2011)

As we await the toxicology reports to find out exactly what happened, I just want to say that Amy Winehouse was unbelievably talented and (in a sad way) it is fitting that she has joined the others (Hendrix, Joplin, etc.) in the 27 Club.

Recently I met the singer Adele and was not impressed. Because of that encounter, it propelled me into loving Amy even more as someone who was true to herself: NEVER pretending to be something she wasn't.

Nobody Cares What I Think But, if Heaven is one big party, I hope she plays a concert when I get there.

A NCWITB Movie Review: Horrible Bosses

Is your boss a complete psycho? Let's face it: he probably is. Everyone day dreams of a world without them, and in the new movie Horrible Bosses they set out to get rid of theirs for good. A story of 3 friends who work for 3 awful people, the amount of star power packed into one unassuming movie is amazing. As a comedy, Horrible Bosses has a lot to offer, but it's biggest draw may be what it lacks: (the things that have seemed to ruin every movie as of late): poop/puke humor and a lack of heart.

Unlike the ever popular The Hangover, Horrible Bosses delivers a buddy comedy about friends you can actually tell have each others best interest in mind. A tight night group of guys that at times are goofballs, but at others are actual serious about their jobs. The underlying point of the whole movie is that none of them actually want to be half-assed workers, or quitters (Office Space style.) You care for these guys, and even though they are plotting murder, you kinda hope that they win in the end.

And of course there are laughs. Lots of them, actually. The funniest moments come from the little things: under the breath comments, and quick banter that is over before you have realized how funny it really is. A movie of one-liners that is actually driven by a plot with a beginning, middle, and end. The comparison can be made to The Hangover, but only because it is a funny movie starring men: Horrible Bosses is a much wittier, smarter comedy. In the end, they do win, they are the heroes and they do it all without even have to.... well... I'll let you see it for yourself.

Jason Bateman is sexy as usual (if you're into that polo-shirt-wearing-good-guy thing), and Jennifer Aniston is GORGEOUS as a brunette. This movie has everything you are hoping for, and if you see it in the movie theater like I did, you get the added bonus of 2 hours of air conditioning.

4.5/5 stars based on the fact that it blows The Hangover out of the water. Don't listen to the bad reviews, see the movie and decide for yourself.

Have you seen Horrible Bosses and agree/disagree with me? Comment and let me know!

Kardashian Kolors: Nicole by OPI Nail Polish Collection

Nobody Cares What I Think, But...
the Kardashian Kolors: Nicole by OPI Nail Polish Collection is:
the best celebrity nail polish endorsement to date.

If you're like me and get your nails done every 2 weeks (and would never wear the same polish color twice, unless it was a major favorite), you probably already know about OPI Nail Polish. What you may not know is that it is one of the only nail polish lines that partners with celebrities to create stylish collections that are actually successful. Serena Williams and Katy Perry (hello, 'crackle' trend anyone?) are two of the mega-celebs that have had wildly popular nail polish lines thanks to OPI.

That being said, it's pretty obvious I am a big fan of celebrity endorsed anything, so when I found out that the Kardashian's were the next big-timers to join forces with OPI, I could barely contain myself. Creating 14 colors for OPI's Nicole line, the girls named all the Kardashian Kolor polishes themselves [see below]

Nicole is seen as a slightly more trendier, dare I say younger, subset of OPI (Justin Bieber's One Less Lonely Girl polish collection sums that up nicely), but I think the collaboration it's right on point for the Kardashian's. Young, hip, trendy, fresh- the Kardashian's represent everything a sexy lady wants in her manicure. This isn't about being serious, it's about being young and expressive, and with a shade (or 2) named after each 'dashing diva, you could essentially go 4 months straight with a different Kardashian Kolor on your nails!

The girls are here to stay, and when their polish collection becomes available during the holiday 2011 season at 7.99/bottle, you and your finger tips can feel confident that your New Year will be a kolorful one.

Kardashian Kolors Nicole by OPI Nail Polish collection includes:

All Kendall-ed Up
Sealed with a Kris
Kim-pletely In Love

Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam

Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi

Rainbow in the S-kylie

Disco Dolls
Listen to Your Momager!

Wear Something Spar-kylie

It’s All About the Glam

Follow Me on Glitter

Kendall on the Katwalk

My Empire… My Rules

Hard Kourt Fashionista

Eyeglasses

Nobody Cares What I Think, But...
Chic, make-a-statement eyeglasses are:
totally in right now, and totally sexy.

Glasses are everywhere right now. Ever since Anne Hathaway stepped out in a pair of funky frames, it seems that the gossip world has been buzzing trying to snap pictures of other super-famous celebs wearing eyeglasses. Whether you need them to see (like I do), or are just wearing them because they're aesthetically awesome, in the world of specs the rule seems to be: there are no rules.

When I go out to the bar donning eyeglasses (because, lets face it, I want to see my prospects clearly!), I have absolutely no problem finding flirt-worthy guys who dig my spectacles. The stigma against glasses isn't what it was when we were in middle school, and thanks to the new wave of celebrities rocking this look, being called four-eyes is now synonymous with sexy.

If you're a hot lady with glasses, comment and let me know how they're working for you!

Mission American Kitchen & Bar

Nobody Cares What I Think, But...
Mission American Kitchen & Bar is:
the BEST Happy Hour spot in Downtown Minneapolis.

Okay, so I am bias. I happen to work here. But in all honesty, Mission is the place to be. From 4-6pm Monday thru Friday, Mission American Kitchen & Bar has the most happening Happy Hour in Downtown Minneapolis.

Located on the ground floor of the IDS building, Mission boasts a (nearly) reservation only - worthy power lunch, a jammed to the rafters Happy Hour, and 1/2 price bottles of wine (yes, all wine!) on Tuesday and Saturday nights. Just steps away from the Orpheum, Pantages, Saloon (and various other places that would draw you to the area,) it's the most convenient spot to get a delicious meal before your big night on the town.

If you're looking to rub elbows with big shots while enjoying great deals, funky retro ambiance, and a cool staff (okay, bias again)... look no further than Mission American Kitchen & Bar at 77 South Seventh St.

Wet 2 Straight Flat Iron by Remington

Nobody Cares What I Think, But...
the Wet2Straight Flat Iron by Remington is:
the BEST flat iron in its price range.

I just bought the Remington Wet2Straight Flat Iron when my old flat iron fell off the towel bar and shattered into a million pieces. I have always been intrigued by irons that claim to straighten your hair when it is still wet, so when I saw this one by Remington on sale at Target, I went for it. I have to admit, I had some doubts at first... how could a product really dry your hair AND straighten it simultaneously?

Lucky for me (and for you, once you go out and buy one) this iron does just that! I was AMAZED by it's performance, and to be honest- it basically inspired the concept for this whole blog! As I mentioned before, I got mine on sale at Target (it's around 20 dollars) and let me tell you, it is worth much more. My naturally wavy hair went from damp to dry to pin straight literally on contact. I 100% endorse this product for all the girls out there struggling with their waves and curls... we all know that sometimes you just need to straighten things out, and with a super easy to read/operate digital dial and dual ceramic heated plates, Remington does what it promises. (If only they made men!)

If you buy a flat iron because of this post, or already own this one by Remington, make sure to comment and let me know what you think!

Introduction

Me, on one of my more fierce days
So, what can I say? I am a 24 year old girl who lives in a city of over 3 million people... it's pretty safe to say that nobody cares what I think. The only problem is: that doesn't stop me from saying it.

I have a passion for fashion (and rhyming), as well as exploring Minneapolis, home decor, photography, celebrity gossip/news, makeup, new products, and about a zillion other things. In this blog I will share them all with whomever is interested.

Nobody Cares What I Think, But...

Here it goes!
